China is ordering carmakers to conduct checks on electric vehicles after some made by Tesla Inc. and Nio Inc. caught on fire, spurring anxiety over the safety of battery-powered automobiles.Companies need to check for potential safety hazards with battery boxes, waterproof protection in vehicles, high-voltage wiring harnesses, as well as onboard charging devices, the country’s industry and technology ministry said in a statement posted on its website. Automakers need to submit their findings by the end of October.The order comes after a run of fires involving EVs in what is the world’s biggest market for the new technology. Nio -- a Nasdaq-listed electric car startup from Beijing with aspirations to rival Tesla -- said Friday one of its ES8 crossovers caught fire, the third time in about two months the model has been involved in an incident. Tesla said it was investigating after video of one of its cars bursting into flames in Shanghai spread on Chinese social media in April. Weeks later, there were reports of a Tesla Model S combusting in Hong Kong.

               ประเทศไทยผลิตรถยนต์ 5 เดือน เฉียด 9 แสนคัน ส่งออกมากกว่าครึ่ง กวาดเม็ดงินเข้าประเทศมากกว่า 3.3 แสนล้าน หดตัวลงเกือบ 6% ปลื้มส่งออกตลาดอาเซียนยังโตสวนทางตลาดอื่น นายสุรพงษ์ ไพสิฐพัฒนพงษ์ รองประธานและโฆษกกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ สภาวอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เปิดเผยว่า ประเทศไทยผลิตรถยนต์ 5 เดือน ( ม.ค.-พ.ค.) 2562 มีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 893,067 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากช่วงเดียวกันปีที่แล้ว 2.94% และจักรยานยนต์ 5 เดือน (มกราคม-พฤษภาคม 2562) มีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 1,053,969 คัน ลดลงจากช่วงเดียวกันปีก่อน 2.48% ทั้งนี้ ตลาดส่งออก 5 เดือน รถยนต์ผลิตเพื่อส่งออกได้ 473,268 คัน คิดเป็น 52.99% ของยอดการผลิตทั้งหมด ลดลงจากระยะเวลาเดียวกันปีที่แล้ว 0.71% มีมูลค่าการส่งออก 233,850.62 ล้านบาท ลดลง 3.27% เครื่องยนต์ มีมูลค่าการส่งออก 13,424.32 ล้านบาท ลดลง 12.8% ชิ้นส่วนรถยนต์อื่นๆ มีมูลค่าการส่งออก 80,767.07 ล้านบาท ลดลง 7.53% อะไหล่รถยนต์มีมูลค่าการส่งออก 9,930.19 ล้านบาท ลดลง 22.1% รวมมูลค่าส่งออก 5 เดือน (เครื่องยนต์ ชิ้นส่วนรถยนต์ และอะไหล่ มีมูลค่า 337,972.20 ล้านบาท ลดลง 5.39%) เฉพาะเดือน พ.ค. ส่งออกลดลงเกือยทุกตลาด ยกเว้นตลาดเอเชีย ตลาดตะวันออกกลาง ตลาดยุโรป และตลาดอเมริกาเหนือ

                 รถยนต์ไฟฟ้า (EVs) กำลังขยายตัวอย่างรวดเร็วจากปี 2015 มียอดขาย 1 ล้านคันทั่วโลกพุ่งขึ้นเป็น 5 ล้านคันในปี 2018 ขณะที่งานวิจัยประจำปี 2019 ของ BloombergNEF (BNEF) คาดการณ์ว่าภายในปี 2030 ยอดขายรถยนต์ไฟฟ้าทั่วโลกจะเพิ่มเป็น 30 ล้านคัน การวิจัยดดย Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) ประจำปี 2019 เปิดเผยเมื่อวันที่ 4 มิถุนายน ระบุว่า จีน จะครองแชมป์ผู้นำด้านรถยนต์ไฟฟ้าและผู้ใช้งานรายใหญ่ จากการเติบโตเกือบ 8% ในไตรมาส 4 ของปี 2018 และมีถึง 6 เมืองในจีน จากทั้งหมด 11 เมืองทั่วโลก (ยกเว้นสหรัฐอเมริกา) ที่มีผู้ซื้อรถยนต์อีวีมากขึ้นชัดเจน นอกจากนี้ ยังประเมินว่าจีนจะครองส่วนแบ่งตลาดสูงถึง 48% ของยอดจำหน่ายรถยนต์ไฟฟ้าทั้งหมดในปี 2025 แต่จะลดเหลือ 26% ในปี 2040 เนื่องจากประเทศอื่นจะตีตื้นขึ้นมาโดยเฉพาะ ยุโรป ที่คาดว่าจะแซงหน้าสหรัฐ และครองส่วนแบ่งเป็นอันดับ 2 ในตลาดรถยนต์ไฟฟ้าโลก ในระหว่างปี 2020-2029 BNEF ได้ปรับเพิ่มประมาณการรถยนต์ไฟฟ้าที่จะวิ่งบนท้องถนนเป็น 57% ภายในปี 2040 ทั้งระบุด้วยว่ายอดขายรถยนต์ส่วนบุคคลอีวีจะเพิ่มขึ้นจาก 2 ล้านคันในปี 2018 เป็น 28 ล้านคันในปี 2030 ส่วนยอดขายรถยนต์ส่วนบุคคลแบบดั้งเดิมจะลดลงเหลือ 42 ล้านคันในอีก 21 ปีข้างหน้า สำหรับรถบัสโดยสาร คาดว่าจะมีส่วนแบ่งตลาดสูงสุดราว 81% ของรถบัสที่ใช้ในเขตเมืองทั่วโลกภายในปี 2040

             The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, a government-backed industry trade group, called on domestic provinces that haven’t adopted State 6 vehicle emission standards not to enact the new rules ahead of schedule. Widespread adoption of the new standards, equivalent to Euro 6 rules, in China would make more consumers reluctant to buy new vehicles and aggravate inventory pressure on car dealers, the association warned in an open letter last week. Taking their cue from the Blue Sky Protection campaign Beijing launched last year, four municipalities – Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chongqing -- and 11 provinces in China have pledged to enact the new standards on July 1, one year ahead of the original schedule set by the Ministry of Environment Protection. The four cities and provinces accounted for 65 percent of China's new light-vehicle sales in 2018.Upgrading the emissions standards to State 6 from State 5, which are similar to Euro 5, has been a major cause of the prolonged downturn in China’s new-car market in the past few months, according to the association

German prosecutors are investigating the chairman of Volkswagen's powerful works council, Bernd Osterloh, as part of an inquiry into whether some of its members were paid excessively, turning him from a witness into a suspect.Osterloh is being investigated over an allegation that he contributed to the "conclusion of the remuneration agreement that is suspected of being unlawful," said a spokesman for the public prosecutor's office in Braunschweig in VW's home state of Lower Saxony on Tuesday.Osterloh has not yet been questioned and has requested, via his lawyer, access to relevant files and will respond to any allegations, a spokesman for the Volkswagen works council said, adding that its chairman was "beyond reproach."Prosecutors have been investigating four people since 2016 on suspicion of preferential treatment of works council members and, on the basis of those investigations, prosecutors decided to investigate Osterloh, who had previously been a witness.Osterloh is a member of VW supervisory board.Volkswagen said in November 2017 it had obeyed the law in its payment of Osterloh, a day after prosecutors and tax authorities raided the offices of several senior executives at the carmaker in an inquiry into whether he had been overpaid.A newspaper reported in May that prosecutors were investigating the chief executive of Volkswagen's Porsche business, Oliver Blume, over a possible breach of fiduciary trust linked to payments made to a Porsche works council member.

                   Ford Motor Co. is set to start selling its first electric vehicle in China in the second half of the year.The EV is the battery-powered version of the Ford Territory compact crossover. It has a range of 360 kilometers (224 miles) on one charge, Ford said. The Territory last year became the first Ford-badged passenger vehicle produced at Jiangling Motors Corp. -- Ford’s truck venture with Changan Automobile Co. Like the gasoline variant, the electric Territory will also be assembled at Jiangling Motors, rather than Changan Ford Automobile Co. -- Ford’s car partnership with Changan. The electric Territory is the first electrified vehicle to be launched under the product plan for China that Ford disclosed in April. The Dearborn, Mich., company will introduce more than 30 new and upgraded vehicles including 10 electrified vehicles under the Ford and Lincoln brands in China over the next three years. Ford currently markets only one electrified vehicle -- the plug-in hybrid version of the Ford Mondeo – in China. In addition, an agreement Ford signed with Zoyte Automobile Co. in 2017 to jointly build inexpensive EVs hasn’t been approved by China regulators.Beijing enacted a carbon credit program this year, adding pressure on Ford to accelerate the rollout of electrified vehicles in the Chinese market.

               กรมวาการเกษตรจับมือออสเตรเลีย ยักษ์ใหญ่ส่งออกรถยนต์ของไทย 8 ค่าย จัดอบรมระบตรวจสอบวัชพืชที่ปนเปื้อนในรถยนต์ใหม่ก่อนส่งออกไปออสเตรเลีย นางสาวเสริมสุข สลักเพ็ชร์ อธิบดีกรมวิชาการเกษตร เปิดเผยว่า ได้จัดประชุม “Motor Vehicle Inspection Program Information Session” ขึ้น เพื่อสร้างความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับเงื่อนไขและบันทึกข้อตกลงในโครงการตรวจสอบวัชพืชในรถยนต์ใหม่เพื่อการส่งออกไปออสเตรเลีย (Motor Vehicle Inspection Program หรือ MVIP) โดยมีหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องและบริษัทผู้ส่งออกรถยนต์ของไทยที่ส่งออกรถยนต์ใหม่ไปยังออสเตรเลีย 8 ราย คือ 1. มิซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส ประเทศไทย 2. ซูซูกิ มอเตอร์ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด 3. บริษัทโตโยต้า มอเตอร์ ประเทศไทย จำกัด 5. บริษัท ฮอนด้า ออโตโมบิล (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด 6. บริษัท ฟอร์ด มอเตอร์ ประเทศไทย จำกัด 7. บริษัท นิสสัน มอเตอร์ ประเทศไทย จำกัด และ 8. บริษัท ออโต้ อัลลายแอนซ์ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด  เข้าร่วมอบรม โดยออสเตรเลียเป็นตลาดส่งออกอันดับ 1 โดยปี 2561 มีมูลค่าส่งออกกว่า 196,135 ล้านบาท “ออสเตรเลียเป็นประเทศที่มีภูมิประเทศเป็นเกาะ จึงมีมาตรการด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพที่เข้มงวด โดยหนึ่งในมาตรการสำคัญทางการค้าคือกำหนดให้รถยนต์ใหม่ท่จะส่งออกไปยังออสเตรเลียจะต้องสะอาดไม่มีสิ่งปนเปื้อน”
