'อุตตม รมว.กระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม'เปิดงาน-ชูเป้าหมายอีอีซี ยกระดับ ศก.ไทย 'กอบศักดิ์' ชี้ต้องดึงการลงทุนรัฐร่วมเอกชน ประตูสู่อินโดจีน-อาเซียนเอเชีย 'คณิศ'แย้มโบอิ้งสร้างศูนย์ฝึกอบรม ขณะที่วงเสวนาภาคเอกชนชูท่องเที่ยวชลบุรี-ฉะเชิงเทรา-ระยอง 'อุตตม' รมว.กระทรวงอุตสาหกรรมชูอีอีซียกระดับศก.ประเทศ วันที่ 21 กันยายน ที่ห้องบอลรูม ศูนย์การประชุมแห่งชาติสิริกิติ์ มติชนร่วมกับสำนักงานเพื่อการพัฒนาระเบียงเศรษฐกิจภาคตะวันออก (สกรศ.) จัดสัมมนา "อีอีซี แม่เหล็กเศรษฐกิจไทยเชื่อมโลก" โดยมีภาคธุรกิจ ตัวแทนจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐ และประชาชน เข้าร่วมอย่างคึกคักกว่า 700 คน นายอุตตม สาวนายน รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม กล่าวเปิดงานและปาฐกถาพิเศษ "อีอีซี แม่เหล็กเศรษฐกิจไทยเชื่อมโลก" ตอนหนึ่งว่า ประเทศอยู่ในห้วงการเปลี่ยนแปลงสังคม เศรษฐกิจ ท่ามกลางการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่มีการเดินหน้านโยบายระเบียงเศรษฐกิจพิเศษภาคตะวันออก (อีอีซี) เป็นเรื่องใหญ่และเป็นของใหม่ที่ต้องการความเข้าใจ ประเทศไทยต้องเปลี่ยนแปลงโดยเฉพาะด้านเทคโนโลยี มีการใช้ชีวิตที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเทคโนโลยี ข้อมูล การทำธุรกิจล้วนต้องใช้เทคโนโลยี อย่างไรก็ตาม การเดินหน้าอุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมาย 10 กลุ่ม ไม่ได้แปลว่าจะมุ่งแต่อุตสาหกรรม แต่ต้องให้ความสำคัญกับภาคเกษตรที่เป็นพื้นฐานของประเทศด้วย เพราะใน 10 อุตสาหกรรม มีทั้งอุตสาหกรรมเกษตรแปรรูป ไบโอชีวภาพ และอาหารบรรจุอยู่ด้วย หมายถึงเดินไปข้างหน้าแต่ไม่ทิ้งของเก่าที่เป็นฐาน

China is discussing a plan to allow foreign carmakers to set up wholly owned electric-vehicle businesses in its free trade zones, according to company officials briefed on the matter. The plan could be enacted as early as next year, the sources said. If the policy is approved, it would be a landmark departure from existing rules that require foreign automakers to form joint ventures with local counterparts. A relaxation of the joint venture rule would give companies an opportunity to set up fully owned manufacturing operations in China. Ford Motor Co. is considering a joint venture to produce electric vehicles in China with Anhui Zotye Automobile Co. while Volkswagen AG has partnered with Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Corp. to make EVs.

Daimler said it will invest an additional $1 billion in its U.S. factory here, expanding the 20-year-old site to build full-electric SUVs for its EQ sub-brand along, with their battery packs.The expansion is part of Daimler's strategic plan to electrify its entire range of Mercedes-Benz light vehicles by 2022, offering customers at least one electrified alternative in each segment to bring its total to more than 50 electrified vehicles.It also takes place as German automakers have been the target of criticism from President Donald Trump over what he has said are unfair trade practices, singling out the success of Mercedes and rival BMW in the U.S. market as evidence."With production locations for EVs and batteries in Europe, China and now the U.S., our global network is ready for the era of electric vehicles," said Markus Schaefer, member of the divisional board of Mercedes-Benz Cars responsible for production and supply chain. "Thanks to our plant modernization in Tuscaloosa, we will be able to quickly ramp up U.S. production of EQ models."
