China's light-vehicle exports continue to rise on demand from developing countries and jumped 30 percent to around 70,000 in June.  Roughly 374,000 vehicles were shipped overseas in the first half, a surge of 37 percent from a year earlier, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.  In the first six months, Chery, China’s largest car exporter, delivered 67,459 vehicles overseas, a rise of 24 percent from the same period last year. The company didn’t release export figures for June.  The main export destinations for Chinese automakers are all developing countries, including Russia, and markets in the Middle East and South America. To date, BYD Co. is the only Chinese automaker that has gained a toehold in mature markets such as Western Europe and North America with its electric buses.
